I graduated from the University of Florida in June of 2019 from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in History. In addition, I received a minor degree from the College of Education in Florida Education.
A history degree from UF greatly advanced my writing, critical analysis, and communication skills all while developing my knowledge in American, Latin American, European, and World History. My minor degree in Florida Education gave me the opportunity to volunteer and observe in a classroom while still being a college student. Courses were geared toward classroom management, Florida Common-Core Standards, integrating technology into the secondary curriculum, as well as studying adolescent psychology.
Teaching Experience
Year 1:
I taught United States Government and Economics with financial literacy to 12th grade seniors in Palm Beach County. While planning and implementing lessons to meet the Common Core Curriculm Standards, I made sure to facilitate learning by using engaging strategies and creating a positive learning environment for seniors.
